Purpose:

The function of this position is to partner with individuals and families to identify resources,  services,  and opportunities while assisting them in overcoming barriers and setting goals that lead to economic stability.  Provide information,  outreach,  and assistance to customers regarding SNAP and other public benefits.

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly wage range of $16 -  $17.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to customers both in person and on the phone 
  • Connect families to supportive services
  • Engage in record maintenance,  data entry,  and file documentation to ensure service delivery
  • Build trusting relationships with customers and attend community events
  • Maintain and build relationships with community partners

Qualifications / Career Path

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a customer first attitude 
  • Commitment to cultural competency and a deep understanding of the significance of diversity,  equity,  and inclusion 
  • Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word,  Excel,  and PowerPoint
  • A licensed driver and reliable transportation 
  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus
