Purpose:

The Carpentry Technician,  or Carpenter,  will support the housing development team by performing skilled carpentry work and with achieving short-  and long-term goals for residential construction and renovation projects.

This is an Exempt position with a salary range of $51,000 -  $53,000.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise on projects prior to purchase by attending showings 
  • Assist with the creation of the scope of work to be performed for each project
  • Attend building inspections
  • Interpret blueprints and project plans 
  • Maintain safety and compliance 
  • Manage tools and materials 
  • Collaborate with other trades 
  • Provide training and shadowing opportunities

Qualifications / Career Path

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’  experience in residential carpentry,  specifically with framing,  drywall,  insulation,  finishings)
  • Understand architect blueprints 
  • Know OSHA requirements,  Lead-Safe,  City Codes 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills
