Production

Responsibilities

• • Reviews the Customer Specification Sheet (CSS)  to confirm required assembly,  exterior finish,  and any special product options.
  • Verifies availability and accuracy of sub-assemblies,  parts,  fasteners,  and designated carton packs prior to each production run;  escalates shortages or discrepancies to the Material Handler.
  • Performs pre-operation checks on conveyors,  safety stops,  and power/hand tools to ensure proper and safe operation.
  • Assembles casters and wheels by fitting,  fastening,  and securing components and sub-assemblies in accordance with the CSS and work instructions.

   

  • Inspects the first three completed assemblies against the CSS to confirm quality,  accuracy,  and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Uses experience and standard work practices to resolve routine assembly or packing issues;  escalates non-routine issues to the Line Leader or Supervisor.
  • Completes required production documentation accurately at the conclusion of each production run.
  • Coordinates end-of-run activities,  including notifying the Material Handler,  clearing stock bins and cartons of unused materials,  and preparing the line for the next run.
  • Maintains a clean,  organized,  and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Supports line efficiency by pre-forming cartons and performing other preparatory tasks as needed to maintain production flow.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support operational needs.
