Purpose:

Assist the Food Services Manager with the food services needs of residents of Brighton Recovery Center for Women,  processing SNAP benefits,  and ensuring catering needs in the Northern KY area.

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly wage of $15.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing weekly menus and provide nutritious meals to residents in the recovery program that meet DOC and VA standards.  Ensure that meals for catering and the Center meals are cost-effective and prepared in accordance to NKY Health Dept standards. 
  • Work cooperatively with area non-profit agencies and private requests for catering services that are prepared,  transported,  and served in accordance to NKY Health Dept standards.
  • Assist the women in applying for benefits,  meet with the Department of Community Based Services to process applications and recertifications and keep accurate records for annual monitoring.
  • Adheres to all contractual regulations as addressed in the operations manual.   
  • Training and support to residents includes proper food handling,  preparation and storage as well as facilitating culinary training classes to comply with NKY Health Dept.  standards. 

Qualifications / Career Path

Requirements:

  • 18 Years or older
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Past food services experience is a plus
